Neurology
Neurology is the branch of medicine that studies the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous system. A neurologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord and nerves, while a physician specializing in sleep medicine focuses on sleep and sleep disorders. Surgical operations on the nervous system are performed by physicians with specialized training - neurosurgeons, and in some cases, interventional neuroradiologists.
