St. Vincent Regional Medical Center offers a hospitalist service which track patients admitted to the hospital on behalf of your regular physician.  A hospitalist is a doctor who primarily takes care of patients when they are in the hospital. This doctor will take over your care from your primary doctor when you are in the hospital, keep your primary doctor informed about your progress, and will return you to the care of your primary doctor when you leave the hospital.

Some physicians still check up on their patients when they are at the hospital.  Internal medicine and family practice physicians are the most important component in looking at your overall care and medical history.  We are proud of the physicians on our medical staff and the high quality of care they are known to provide.
