Auxiliary

The St. Vincent Auxiliary was founded in 1951 with a mission to provide quality healthcare to the people of Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico with care and compassion in a cost effective and responsible manner, while maintaining the long term viability of CHRISTUS St. Vincent. More than 240 volunteers find themselves fulfilling this mission on a daily basis as they make change at the Hospital Gift Shop, or deliver books to patients, or as they create the seasonal table favors that accompany each patient tray.

Today's Auxilians work hand-in-hand with the Foundation to insure that benefit events and other fundraising activities come off smoothly, efficiently, and of course, kindly. In 2005, the Auxilians volunteered over 37,000 hours making them a very critical piece in the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital. The Auxilians have also donated over $1.5 million to the Foundation to fund renovations in the hospital, nursing scholarships and medical equipment purchases.
